Just waiting around for my husband to come home. He's been working in Arizona for the last month while I've been in Minnesota taking care of the boys. Let me tell you, it's been an interesting job, rewarding and challenging at the same time.
He's just coming back for a long weekend. Halloween is our 7th anniversary and we take the kids out every year, then we dress up ourselves and go out with friends.
We are on the verge of becoming snowbirds, which would be absolutely fine by me. The summers in Arizona are too harsh, while the winters in Minnesota are too cold. It would be the best of both worlds. I just need to finish up my BSc. degree and get movin' on my business plan.
Lord knows I've had many of those over the years. I think I've actually settled on a plan and it happens to be the one I started out with in the first place - imagine that?! I suppose you want to know what the plan is? Well, it has to do with working with herbs. Love 'em. It's my calling. Holistic health in general, but mainly herbs. I still plan to do some writing on the side as well.
Hubby's flight is delayed 3 hours because Hubert H. Humphrey decided to shut down two runways to do some runway construction. Now we've lost a whole day with dad. I hoping they'll end up lightening that restriction and he'll be home earlier. We all miss him.

Finding Home - An Update
I've had people asking me how things are going after a previous post mentioning our experience with a near forclosure. I thought it would be a good idea to post an update to let everybody know how it all worked out.
Making the Decision
As you may know, my husband and I got stuck in the crunch, like many other people, with a home that we just couldn't afford any longer.
We had to make a decision and we opted to do a short sale. (a blessing in disguise)

How Do You Take Your Eggs?
My husband has been away, working in another state 1800 miles away, for two weeks now.
It's been an adjustment. I give loads of credit to all the moms out there doing it on their own. It's not easy.
Even when my husband is home, it can be hard to do the simple things for myself, such as take a shower. Which is why I wasn't suprised.

Blogging Simplified
Taking action to reduce the unnecessary in my life has been my goal this week. I've written down a list of all the things I think I have to do, I think I want to do and what I think I should be doing, and methodically reviewed each one to make sure it's something I'm not wasting energy and valuable time on. Particularly the latter, because I'm time rich right now.
One of the items listed are my websites. (You can see this in my post called 'The Craziness of My Life') I have FIVE websites. So something's gotta give.

The Craziness of My Life
Stay-at-home mom
5 websites
2 boys
1 husband
6 cats
1 house
1 auto (the other has been in the shop for the last month)
and...
Pursuing freelance writing, affiliate marketing, published author, screenwriter, homeschooling, personal development, spiritual enlightenment, meaningful relationshops with family, becoming financially independent and secure, and some day, have a cabin in the woods, travel the U.S.A. in an RV with my family, having two homes, running an herb shop and traveling the world.
Let's not fail to mention that my husband always says that I've been studying for the past 11 years. I've got a degree in Holistic Health Care, a diploma in Western Herbalism, a certification in Hypnotherapy, a Reiki II Practioner certification, taken a couple classes in writing, numerous and various classes in alternative healing modalities, I'm an Ordained Minister and I'm currently at a stalemate with my B.Sc. degree in Natural Health.
Now is that too much to ask? In a nutshell, this is what is going on in my life and in my head.
Tune back next time to see where this is all heading.

Potting 'Training'...Is it Really Necessary?
I would always cringe when someone would ask me if my son was potty trained.
First of all, it sounds like I'm trying to teach a pet how to do something. Second, I've never 'trained' my kids to do anything. Think about it. Besides going to the bathroom, what other things have you 'trained' your child to do?
Talking, eating, and walking seemed to come very natural to my kids, as it does with most children. I never trained them in any of those areas, yet they seem to be brilliant at it now.
It was natural to have them do the same in the bathroom. I knew eventually they would get it and do it when they were ready. Sure, older folk, such as my Grandmother or Dad would ask about 'training' and I would tell the truth. "No, not yet, but he's getting there." I never let the pressure get to me. Eventually, they stopped asking.
Seriously, I don't think my son is going to be 12 years old and still wearing a diaper for heaven's sake! Do you?

Astrology - It's in the Family
I just got a reading from my good friend, Family Astrologer, Cathi Curen.
For the past 1.5 - 2 years, my life has been put through the ringer. There have been many upheavels and sudden turns of events.
Lately, I've felt that things may be settling down a little, but I needed to gain some insight on what is coming up next.
In about five days, we will be homeless.(update here)
We sold our home through short sale to avoid foreclosure.
We do have temporary housing, thanks to a very helpful realtor, but that will be short lived. The place where we will be living has an offer on it and could close at any time.
So, what do the stars have to say?
